Skills Ontario / Skills Canada

Liaison College will be represented at the upcoming Skills Ontario competition in May 2009. We will begin our trek to first place with our annual inter-campus cook-off on April 7 at the Kitchener Campus. Last year one our students won bronze in the final stages of competition at Skills Canada. This year we aim to repeat or better that achievement.

Skills Ontario is fast approaching.

The competition will be held in May and Liaison College intends to be a winner again this year. We will start with our annual inter-campus cook-off.

Each campus is permitted to send their worthy contender to the inter campus cook off on April 7, 2009 at the Kitchener Campus. All students must be under 25 years of age.

Following is the day’s agenda:

    • Competitors arrive by 9 a.m.
    • Set up from 9 - 10 a.m.
    • Review of competition and common table with judges. Start cooking at 10 a.m.
    • Plate Presentations : 3 p.m.
    • Judging and Winner Announcements : 4:30 p.m.
    • Discussions / Q & A at 5 p.m.

Our Judges will follow the exacting criteria set out in the “competition scope” document and competitors will attempt the exact menu set out in the “project.”
